What is the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee?
The Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee is a group of community volunteers tasked with ensuring that bond funds are spent as voters intended, according to the ballot language. The committee provides independent oversight of bond expenditures, ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.
What are the responsibilities of a CBOC member?
- Reviewing bond expenditures and financial reports.
- Inspecting school facilities and construction projects.
- Informing the public about bond projects and expenditures.
- Producing an annual report on bond program activities.
Who can apply?
We are seeking individuals who:
- Are at least 18 years of age.
- Reside within the Tulare Joint Union High School District boundaries.
- Represent a variety of community interests, including:
- A business organization.
- A senior citizens organization.
- A taxpayers’ organization.
- A parent/guardian of a student in the district.
- The community at large.
- Are not employees or contractors of the school district.
