The TJUHSD Foundation

To Enhance Student Opportunities And Access To The 4 A's (Academics, Agriculture, Arts, Athletics)

Our foundation exists to support the students of the Tulare Joint Union High School District. From fun runs to auctions and dinners, we raise much needed money to enhance the academics, agriculture, art, and athletics—The 4 A’s. We are grateful for the generous support of our business and school community.

Tulare Joint Union High School District Foundation Rivalry Run

The continued excellence of our community’s secondary education has been an ongoing top priority. In pursuit of this goal, the Tulare Joint Union High School District (TJUHSD) Foundation supports our students and schools in the areas of academics, agriculture, arts, and athletics. One of the events held to provide that support is our annual TJUHSD Rivalry Run.

The annual TJUHSD Rivalry Run is a 5K walk/run scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2017. The race begins and ends at the Tulare Adult School location on K Street and travels up and down the Santa Fe trail.

Event t-shirts are given to all participants, as well as medals for the top three finishers in each age group. In addition, we encourage students at the different school sites to have friends and family participate by offering a perpetual trophy to the school with the most team members as a percentage of site enrollment and a $500 donation. The registration forms have a section for each participant to indicate their team of choice.

Over the past four years the winners have been:

  • First Year Winner - Tulare Western High School
  • Second Year Winner - Alternative/Adult Education
  • Third Year - Mission Oak High School
  • Fourth Year - Mission Oak High School

Please join us on Saturday, September 23 at 8:00 a.m. Register online at www.active.com or with a paper form due by September 15, 2017.

Tulare Joint Union High School District Foundation 4th Annual Showcase Dinner

The Tulare Joint Union High School Foundation recently hosted their fourth annual showcase dinner on Friday, March 24, 2017. The annual fundraiser included a formal dinner prepared by the Tulare Adult School Culinary Arts program, a silent auction, a presentation by the site principals, and a performance by the Tulare Union Jazz Band. The Tulare Joint Union High School District Foundation will utilize the funds to support the four A’s: Academics, Agriculture, Athletics, and the Arts. The foundation will utilize the funds to provide teacher mini-grants, purchase computers, sports equipment, musical instruments, as well as art and classroom supplies. The success of the event would not be possible without the support of our local sponsors. This year's sponsors include Altura Centers for Health, Educational Employee Credit Union (EECU), Res Com Pest Control, Land O' Lakes, Tulare Kiwanis Club, and Horswill, Mederos, Soares, & Ormonde. All sponsors had their company name and logo included in the event program and all promotional material. All proceeds from the showcase event stay within the Tulare Joint Union High School District Foundation and directly benefit the students of our district.

For more information regarding the TJUHSD Foundation Showcase event, please contact Marie Pinto at (559) 688-2021.

The TJUHSD Foundation is a 501c (3) non-profit organization.

We hope you will join us at the 5th Annual Foundation Showcase Dinner and in this endeavor to support the students of the Tulare Joint Union High School District.
